Tragedy Strikes.....

Yesterday we lost Crystal in an awful accident.  She was with Grant while he was loading hay onto some semi-trucks and one needed to back up a couple of feet.  This was done without realizing that she was laying in the shade of the truck and there was nothing that could be done for her afterwards.  We are pretty heart-broken, it's never easy for kids to lose a pet, especially one they have had since birth.  G had put a lot of hopes into Crystal and had plans to train her in pulling.  She was also such a beautiful dog, and with so much 'blue' coloring we really hoped to one day have some great pups out of her.  Unfortunately these things happen, and it will take awhile before we stop looking for her when we step outside, or the kids stop missing her so much. Just the day before, the two youngest had spent most of the afternoon out playing with her and Bella, or lounging on them as they rested.  Good-bye for now.

Saying Good-bye is hard to do......Well, for the kids anyway!

The kids had a hard time letting the last two go, but we are officially done with this litter.  Cobalt and Farley are both enjoying their new homes and if I get pics of any of them in the future I will be posting them on here.  We already had requests for more--especially when Farley went to Vegas, so I think that made G excited for next year....hope you all are, too, because I am not wanting to keep that many pups around for that long again--they are high maintenance--and the kids get so attached.   It's really great to have them all in good homes, though.

And Another One Is Gone.....

Funny story--someone called after the guys got home from SG last weekend and left a message that their neighbor had bought a dog from us (Cyan) and that they wanted one.  After listening to the message later, G calls her back and gets to talking to her about her last name and was she related to so and so.  Yeah, next thing you know, we are back in SG with IttyBit (Now known as LILY) and having lunch with her new owners, a former childhood friend of G's that he had live by in LV.  I have heard the name quite often as The parents were very good friends, also, and my mom-in-law has mentioned them often.  They have four boys almost the same exact ages as ours.  Kind of a neat and fun little coincidence that we happened upon through the dog business.  And now we only have Cobalt and Farley left.

A busy day saw three more of the pups finding great homes in St. George!!  This is always thrilling for mom and hard for the kids as they would love to keep them all!!  Tux, Whopper, and Cyan are now with their families and we are wishing them all the best!  We still have three left, though, as Farley's sell fell through for now!! So, if you're interested you'd better move fast before the last three are gone!!

Coming Soon.....

I am trying to get caught up on posting pic's, but haven't had a lot of time, yet.  I plan to post some more pic's on the blog of Bella with her previous litter and some pictures of those pups at later stages.
Pictures of the puppies with our kids at five weeks old.

Nap-time in the doorway of our garage.

A great rear-view of Cobalt, our blue body-suit Male.

Cyan, our white w/blue spots, Female.

A typical daily adventure for the pups with our boys--digging in the dirt hill.

The boys load them up and haul them  out to play for a couple of hours and then haul them all back when they are done.

The kids are already begging to keep all NINE of them--YEAH RIGHT!!  They have had lots of fun with them, and all are happy and good-natured from this family exposure!
